Default 3s Motor for MRC?

Been running the Xcelorin combo on 3s with an 18T pinion for about a year now. It has started to stall more, lurch more, roll back more than it used to. I like the wheelspeed and it used to have good low speed res.

I'm wanting to go back to brushed with the new combo.
I have a Mamba Micro Pro laying around, and I have some nice 3s 40C 375's I don't really want to have to get rid of.

I've heard nothing but good stuff about the HH 33T Mini Torquemasters on 3s, but they are out of stock. What would you guys recommend as an alternative?
Have any of you switched from the 33t on 3s to the Crawler Mafia motors on 2s? How does it compare?

I also have some MPI 400 pullers(11T), but I don't think they will fit, just too big. Anybody managed to do this?

Holmes mini torquemaster 22T on 2S is pretty awesome alternative, great wheel speed, great torque and low down control.

I'm in contact with JRH about the suitability of his 33T compared to the Xcelorin, told him I'm open to a custom wind if need be.
Will update the thread when he gets back to me.
