| Snap!
Hey guys, was out doing some crawling with my MRC when my left front tire got jammed into a tight spot, when I hit the throttle I heard a SNAP and the truck got loose, however now that wheel seems to no longer be engaged. The wheel can spin without any other wheel turning. Nothing seems to be broken just by looking at it, but was curious if maybe something is broken inside the pumpkin. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

it's more then likely the plastic locker inside the axle, I would get the metal lockers for them | |

Take the wheel off and look at the hex pin, that would be where I would start. Last edited by Jslick; 05-10-2011 at 08:08 AM. |

You've broken your first...something. Without more info I have no idea what. Axle or locker. It won't be too difficult to figure out, tear it down and see what you find...

If you heard a snap I vote hex pin. Otherwise a plastic locker is very very likely. As said above, metal lockers fix the weak stock lockers. Hex pin - if you dont have a spare, use either an old body pin (cut off the excess with side cutter pliers), or a drill bit ground/cut down is pretty strong pin material(1.5mm I think should do). I have used an old nail/pin before when desperate. |

or you could have bad mesh in the ring and pinion and its flexing the axles enough to make the gears jump mesh mine was doing that but some washers and overdrive pinion fixed that
