What chassis are you using or plan on using? Most people just use the aluminum MRC shock. Some use the Vendetta or mini-Late Model shocks as well. Research the build threads on here....they really do help.

the losi alloy threaded shocks are excellent. The latest revsion, has apparently fixed the odd leaky set. (I have had mine for two years, no leaks at all. Guess I was lucky!)
I run mine with 45w oil, and use very soft springs (Mini T fronts - pink at the front, orange and red at the rear. - supple smooth suspension).

Just be sure to bleed every tiny bubble of air out of them when building. Makes a big difference.

My mate uses Losi mini lst, some after market ones (blue anodised), with white soft springs - cut down. They are super smooth and really nice, but won't fit some chassis (they are thicker bodied).
