|  Novak Mongoose Question
Hello, first time poster here. I have a Novak Mongoose brushless system (with an 8.5 motor) that I bought a couple years ago for an 18th scale on-road car that I was racing. Since it is just collecting dust, I was thinking about putting it in my new MRC, and just getting the 18.5 motor for it. My question is, is there any difference between the Mongoose standard and the crawler-specific ESC's? When comparing the specs on Novak's website, everything seems the same, right down to the BEC, with the only difference being the pre-programmed profiles and the word "CRAWLER" printed in a cool font on the side. It'd be nice to save a few bucks if I could and just go with what I have. Thanks |

I emailed Novak tech support the same question. They said my ESC is not compatible with the crawler 18.5 motor. Dang.
