Default BrandtH's MRC Build

The MRC went on sale just a few weeks before my son's 2nd birthday and since he cant keep his hands off of my RCs, I decided it was time for his own.

Specs will be pretty basic:
MRC Pro
Xcelorin System
5645MG wired directly to Losi 2S lipo
Body painted yellow (his favorite color)
FlySky GT3B Tx/Rx (you cant beat $7 2.4GHz receivers!)

It came in a few weeks ago, but we opened it up last night for his birthday (today). Here is what resulted:

During this next picture he kept saying "I cut"

Can a 1/16th brushless setup fit on these pros?
I have a extra traxxas brushless setup from my e-revo.
Would be sweet if it worked.
But the traxxas esc doesnt have a brake function I dont think.

This was a great idea! Not a bad reason to add another truck to the family

Where did you get yours? Those are ARTR's, right?

I am not sure, but when we get the motor mounted, I will snap a side profile for you.

Awesome response Jeremy!

Mine has to wait until August 1st for his. He started driving mine around 2 years old including tanks and I think it's the perfect age to start. He is already so much more mechanically coordinated than any of his friends his age and many older ones too.

When we were installing the servo, he took out a hex wrench and stuck it into the head of the screw....accurately. I was shocked!

Im gonna order my truck today.
I will test the 1/16th motor out.
But I did look at it beside my mini lst motors.
The traxxas motor is alot bigger. In length and circumfrence.
It prolly wont work. Oh well
I need to find me a brushed motor.

I agree, that pesky servo wire is entirely too long, it'll get caught up in the spur! Cut away

Mental note....use plenty of zip ties to attach the wires to the chassis....

Yeah, I know he is. He already has one of those flip over crawlers and he keeps getting the "mote" from that one and trying to make the MRC move....

I use the flysky GT3B. It is a great value. I'm not having any issues with it. There is a review on YouTube for under ultimateRC. He does very respectable reviews and he really doesn't have anything bad to say about this radio.

The radio comes with one Rx. It is a nice radio. Also, for those looking to use the GT3B with a dig unit, Losikid is looking at producing a third channel 3POS switch mod.

For the hobby guy (non-comp crawler), this radio would be PERFECT!

We made a bit of progress on this truck after we got home this afternoon.

First, some of the electronics:

Then, Brandt decided that the puny 1.9 Rock Claws weren't going to cut it for him...

Viola!
