Default Redemon's Slow Progress Pro Roller Build

Well I finally got my pro roller in the mail today.
I dont have anything to put in it just yet. (couldnt pass up the deal)
This will be a slow build im sure.
I tried to see if my 1/16th VXL motor would fit, it wont it is just a tad to long.
Im not gonna cut up the carbon chassis.

Plans on what im gonna buy:
Hitec HS-645MG
A few lipo batteries
Not sure on a motor yet, prolly gonna get a brood or a stock one for now
Tekin B1R
CC BEC
Gonna use my traxxas link 2.4 radio for now
The normal Losi aluminum stuff (knuckles, Carriers)
And the Losi Outboard kit.

Thats it for now I guess.
This little truck is cool, I cant wait until I get to play with it.
I have been collecting rocks for the past few weeks.

Cell Phone Pics for now:

Poser Crawling on my MREVO:

Thanks you guys for answering all my ?'s before I bought this truck.
Really like the way you guys run this site.

Did the 16th vxl motor fit on the motor plate of the tranny okay? I am building a scaler with one and using the SCX chassis so that's not an issue. I would like to use the vxl motor since it's water proof.

It looks like it will bolt up.
But it doesnt have enough room to actually be flat on the plate.
I will get a pic in a minute.
I REALLY wanna put it on the truck.
Would be one less thing I need to buy.
Only other problem is there is no drag brake on the vxl system.

Alright I wanna put some weights on the wheels.
I tried to read around to figure out where they go.
I cant find anything.
Do you put them on the inside of the tire or the inside of the wheel?
And know that I read that it sounds confusing.
It seems the wheel weights I have at work would be to thick and rub the knuckles or hexes.
If they go inside do you put them directly on the wheel or on that ring?

Put them on the wheel but on the inside underneath the foam, so inside the tire.

Did you ever get that VXL motor to fit. I just ordered one and would like to use the extra 1/16th VXL system I have for it.

It will not fit without doing some cutting on the chassis.

Well I have gotten a few things done to the truck
I put wheel weights in the wheels.
Made some holders on the upper links
Ordered my Steering servo.
I got a great deal on a mongoose 18.5 system and a 2.4rx.
Just need to order me some batteries and I will be set.
Hopefully most everything will be here today or tomm.

Got my HD servo in and installed it in the center instead of off to the side.
Why in the hell did losi design this thing so a 1/10th scale servo can fit but wont bolt up.
Crazy to me.
Anyway, I wound up having to use my old steering arm that came off my Erevo.
Worked I think.
We will see tonight. (motor gets here today)

Pretty good turning radius I believe.

My full size 5645 servo bolted right on and I used the longer drag link provided in the box. You will love the speed and power the mongoose. The drag brake is weak, but still very capable.

Well this isnt a Hitec so that might be why it didnt bolt up.
I might make something, or see if this will hold up.

That is a tight turning radius! I should have mounted the servo in the center like that. Mine always hit the left wheel at full lock. Good job!

Got my batteries in.
Did a run and broke the steering arm the goes on the servo.
HAHA.
I really want aluminum arm and the links to be aluminum also.
Gonna have to either make it or find someone that makes it.
But that servo is a bad boy.
I like the truck also, very fun to drive.
The novak system is strong.
