Default My first rc crawler.......

After a lot of rc toys I saw a video of Big Scale crawler and fell in love. Not wanting to spend much money on a big scale to start crawling. I decided to buy an MRC.
Then the fun really started, this mini crawler has become my second baby.
I started with all the free mods and did some upgrading. And yes...this is also a wallet drain.
Because I live in uptown The Hague(Holland) there is not much crawl space around, so I am very pleased with the scale 1 / 18 and I have more room to crawl over all kinds of stuff.
Thanks to this great forum with tips and ideas I have done these mods and upgrades:

- Made a 4 link setup
- 2s lipo 800 mah zippy
- Big power servo Savox
- Wheelwideners
- All steel lockers and axles
- Axial beadlocks , with weights
- Flatirons, butcherded with memoryfoam.
- Front overdrive mod
- Proline beetle body
- servo plates from pro roller front and rear.
- 30 degree bend links

I am sure I am forgetting some mods ore upgrades. For now i'm still working on improving and fine tuning. I have a little torque twist that i am trying to delete . I am also running a stock?? motor that is a mystery to me of what kind it is? It was replaced under warranty and runs fine on 2s lipo, so i will see.
My next project will be a nice indoor track within a limited space.
Please let me know what ideas you have for tacks ....
(My english typing is worse than speaking so excuse me)
Here some pictures:

crushing my mini-z carpet screamer and did some body stickers
The Flatirons came in

I had the droop setup for al while and with that the flatirons ran against almost everything. I ordered the junfac wideners to solve the problem.

Then i bought the Integy tuber frame/cage, i liked the look but is was of poor quality and twisted and heavy and sold immediatly.

Butcherd a Nikko pajero

Got another box with parts in and after installing had a blast with my beast. I got rid of the droop setup an went with a silky smooth ride.

After the tuber style/rollcage and the pajero fails, I got a beetle body.

Now all painted and looking fine, ready for some aluminiuw on the axles

.....

.....

I was planning to get that real flat moa look but it turned out a bit different.
