Losi Pro toppers, Vendor request

Hey guys,
I had my wife order me up a Losi pro to add to the collection(i'm currently deployed). But as i sit here and contemplate how to combine my current MRC w/ the new PRO MRC it appears that a bodiless chassis topper would look/work well on the carbon chassis.

I understand the body panels would be a little different but i guess i can envision it. If i had the means i would start it myself or at least design it.

Anyone else thought this? or am I just suckin in too much sand out here?"thumbsup"

hopefully this gets some tech into it... so it doesn't get moved.

You are thinking basically the way don did on the BWD chassis. What becomes a challenge is getting the side panels to look right with the motor sticking out. I got a solution you should like though. Lexan and a heat gun.

As far as the pro. My only worry would be the stength of carbon. I am hearing some of the plates are cracking/breaking.

From what I've read (for what it's worth) is to help prevent CF chassis cracking is to seal the edges with CA glue or epoxy.

That's what I'm talking about.

The edges of the Carbon can be CA glued to prevent splintering.

And that is exactly what i was thinking is a lexan piece and heated. I really don't think it is that tough, just no resources.

Dinky is doing something like that with his newest comp mini chassis.

no advice on the topper but having been deployed a couple of times i know what you are going thru. i just got my MRc pro (still have my OG MRC and thinking about going scale'ish with the OG) and it is nice.

hang in there it will be over soon and you will be home. like i tell my troops; going home will happen, dont worry about that part just focus on the mission

I forgot to say this in my comment. Thank you for your service to our country and to my freedom. Take care over there!
