| cost of setting up mrc pro
hi guys, im thinking of buying a mrc pro (cause of the price) and building it up for my misses to use and was wondering if it is a exspensive excercise to set one of these up? and also do you need special electronics etc to fit? i just bought a redcat rs10 so i was maybe thinking if i could use the electronics out of that for the mrc and get some better stuff for me cause im not sure if she will use it that much.... thanks for the help guys |

The hardest part is the motor, depending on what you want (brushed/brushless). Other than that, most 1/10th stuff fits/works, just a little tighter. |

if you go this way http://www.rpphobby.com/SearchResult...earch=mongoose check google for the best price you have your motor and esc in one step and you can do a brushed motor with this. then all you need is a servo and your radio receiver and you are good to go... or on the cheap just go with losi motor and there are some nice servos http://cgi.ebay.com/LOSI-LOSB0839-MO...#ht_2614wt_905 and this http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...rce=google_ext here is one servo i found http://store.rc4wd.com/Mayhem-High-T...vo-_p_484.html batteries are cheap too for a nice 2c http://www.rctoys.com/rc-products/TP325-2SPP45J.html i am steal on the fence about motor/esc... brushed/brushless but i am about to drop the $$ for the mongoose... Check craigslist and ebay to start... I'm noticing crawler stuff is way cheap on craigslist, maybe because theres no target audience like here on rccrawler...? My whole setup was $145, but it wasn't top of the line, but it'll be great to get me on the rocks again... Heres what I got and where I got it: MRC Pro (RCCrawler new) - $80 Losi 2.4 tx/rx (craigs) - $20 stock MRC esc/motor (rcc new) - $20 Hitec 645mg (craigs) - $10 Hyperion 850mah 2S (LHS) - $15 GRAND TOTAL - $145 Ongoing, I'll get; 1.9 Rovers, Sidewinder Micro, Reedy 19t puller, DX3E, Nova foams, metal lockouts, metal C's, metal knuckles. |

eBay has the pro roller for $64.95 with free shipment, that's the cheapest I have ever seen it!
