Default LF Tire rubbing steering Servo

I just got my MRC Pro running and I ran into a problem. Whenever I make a right turn the left front tire rubs against the steering servo. I had to dial my steering EPA down to 60% of the travel which completely negates any advantage of the zero ackerman steering setup. Actually it is kind of hard to manuver with that little steering.

A MRC Pro with a 1/10th scale servo (Mine is an ACE 1313) cannot be an unusual set up, does anyone have a fix for this? Everything else is completely stock: tires, axles, steering knuckles etc.

Yep, it rubs. The mini servo fits better but also rubs.

I made a mount to center the servo and mount the battery behind it on the uppers. Now the tire hits the springs at full lock.

+1, using a 1/10th scale (AKA full size) servo means it either hits the LF tire @ full lock right, or, you make a plate to center the servo on the axle. This happens even with the stock knuckles.

BilletWorks. Don's mount works great and allows for ota steering as well.

Can you post a link? I went to the billetworks web site and saw some cool stuff like a better motor mount plate but no servo mount.

It seems that many manufacturers are no longer supporting the MRC. Every time I do a search for a part there is more than a 50/50 chance it has been discontinued.

That is why I made my own using a CKRC servo plate. All you need are the upper link attachment points.

is this mount from RCbros a direct drop in for the MRC pro and it's 4 link? I'll grab one if it drops right in and lets me center up my HS5645 without having to mess with anything else.

I believe it is. I think my son is running one (he's sleeping, can't ask right now.)

you have to get the 4 link one from rcbros but you will have to get or make new arm to the knuckle because your centering the servo so the length is changing

Thanks for that, I just ordered the 4 link servo mount and the servo posts.

It is amazing to me they would design such a flawed system and try and pass it off as a "Professional Roller". In the stock form it is not really usable. I cannot think of any competition where you can have a chance at winning if you only have 60% of your steering!!! I guess that is why they are selling them off at $65!!

When I centered my servo I just flipped the servo so the output shaft is closer to the left wheel and was able to use the same link.
