*Lunar Unit* MRC Pro Build MRC Pro Stock Losi Motor Hitech 645 servo Tekin B1R ESC Blue Lipo 800mah 20c FlySky 3 channel $35 special Metallic gunmetal gray paint ...everything else is out of the box stock for now... I used the stock stickers for the side windows but I used an exacto knife to cut out the shaded gray areas for a more realistic feel/look. Same goes for the windshield. Special thanks to you guys on the forums for the right component selection! "thumbsup" Stuff this thing really needs: Weight front and rear! Bent links! Softer tires! Up and coming upgrades: Proline titus weighted rims or equivalent LOSB1416 high clearance links Rover tires with soft compounds all the way around. Outboard and inverted suspension ...a few more graphics to make it look like it really belongs on the moon! 8) I mounted the battery on the drivers side with zip ties. Not a good idea because they hang below and interfere with the skid plate. Moving to velcro! I'll have to get some naked pics up soon but the esc/rec is under the top of the chassis and on the side to keep weight as low as possible. I was going to mount stuff on the rear plate but I know it would get bashed so I decided that the carbon fiber chassis was a better protector. So, I found this killer place to crawl. It has rocks of every size, shape and color! The pile I had this on today was a but much for they way this is set up. It was taller than me by several feet. Very steep! I hope to make it to the top after some modding. I want to get some video after the mods for your viewing pleasure. :) The bottom 2 pics were taken at the same location on the rocks but in 2 different views (didn't move the controls). Full suspension lockup and believe it or not the body did not touch the rock at all! I couldn't believe it. I got out of it without flipping over too! I don't know how it pulled it off. http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/e...andmore007.jpg http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/e...andmore014.jpg http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/e...andmore015.jpg http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/e...andmore017.jpg http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/e...andmore018.jpg |
Looks cool, nice rock pile."thumbsup" BTW, make sure you have a space between pics (or hit "enter" after a pic) so we just have to scroll down, not across as well.8) |
Very nice. I really dig that color. Can't wait to see the "naked" pictures. |
Nice pile. I have a similar one near me, but not as tall. Very easy to bind up the wheels and break stuff, so be careful. I like the challenge though. Always a different line to take. |
