It's not the best option, but at $60 it's the cheapest. If your just starting out it will keep you happy until you grow out of it. A top of the line system will cost you about 3 times that new. So buy it and have fun.

Novak lists on their page that the mongoose is water resistant. I own 2 but have never got them wet. Have you robot boy?

Water resistant and water proof are totally different worlds. When they say water resistant it usually means that the humidity in the air won't short it out but get a few drops on it and watch the magic smoke leave. |

I sold my old MRC with a Mongoose and am dropping another one into my MRC pro right now. I don't remember...do you have to dremel the diff case slightly to get a good fit and gear mesh? |
