How is the build going skullking? I've been watch axial wraith videos lately. Those things are so awesome. Just so big. Just a bit of info I saw, the wraith on 2s does 12mph. On 3s it does 17.

Here are some crappy Pics. I found a local plastic supplier and got some ABS Black Plastic. (Has has a texture on one side...but whatever...), cheap too because it was drops from previous jobs. Anyway I got 1/4" for the skid and 1/8" for the TVP Body/chassis. Trans bolted up nice and tight, still need to get some spacers. (1/4" O.D. x 1/8" I.D., 1/16" wall thickness). I scaled this down from a rig in CRAWL Magazine. Looks like its going to work. Should be a fun basher. Gonna try the Dremmel Routing Bit to cut out the windows and other spaces.

This is looking like a killer build. I have made a few bodiless chassis before. Yours looks really good. I like the shape. I really can't wait to see it run.

I got the windows and rear spaces cut out today. Also got some cross braces bolted up. I could not find any Pinions locally. So I had to order a few today. Hopefully I will have them this weekend. Also got some Spur gears to play around with. This is what I got 45, 50, 55 t spurs gears and 14, 20, 21 t pinion gears. hopefully I will have a test vid up this weekend. Not runnin lipo, I do not mess with those. I just like to use what I have. So I will be testing with a Traxxas mini 6 cell nimh pack, I think they are 1200 mah.

Hey guys the Traxxas Ken Block and Mini E-Revo are now coming in Brushed. Would be nice to grab one of those Trannys to see what a 540 motor does in this set up. (remember the only difference is the motor plate and mount) Keep an eye on Fleabay for a chop shop with a 540 Tranny...post it here....

www.rcplanet.com/Losi_Rebuild_Kit_p/losb1438.htm

you can't buy it separate, but I would say get the rebuild kit for later, when the ball ends pop.

Well got her into a roller this morning before it got too hot. Got everything bolted up for mock up just to run her and see how she does. Waiting for my Pinions to come in. Hopefully today. Remember before commenting, I do not have not fancy equipment..... She is pretty straight and plenty of room for adjustment of links and such. Enjoy the Pics....

Does the mini t have a different geared tranny? I've heard the internals swap over.
Does the axial AX10 tranny fit in a MRC pro chassis with a 370 sized motor? Looks like it might be to tall.
Just wanted to see if there was anything anyone has tried. I'm going to check out the scaled section and see what is going on with MRC there.
what kind of speed are you talking? im not sure how fast there are suposed to go, but i feel my down right flys compared to other crawlers. i got my mrc last week, so i havent got much experiance with it. but it goes for a crawler.

hmm, well I went bashing around with the mini today, and my Holmes hobbies 22t even with the losi tranny has got some speed on it. its about the same as a MOA with 45t on 3s. I'm guessing mph is about 10mph. it had enough for me to just jump off stuff like no tomorrow.

I am sure that motor has some speed. But those are too pricey for me. Plus I like building my own stuff. I got a motor, tranny, and all the material to mess around with a chassis and skid for less than $25 bucks... Should be called budget rock racer.... Anyway drove it around with a 14t pinion and 55t spur today pretty damn quick. Still need to mess with gearing. hope to get test vids soon...

skullking, I really dig the build. It is amazing that you are still under $25. With all this new gearing are you able to crawl at low speeds?
