| Run2jeepn's 3rd Try at a MRC
Like the title says. I've built 2 other MRC's the last 2yrs. Sold both, neither worked the way I wanted.... With the MRC Pro being so cheap to buy now. I couldn't pass the Deal up. Plan is to make it a very Comp Worthy Crawler, but it's going to be done in stages. Due to Money and time.... Spec's: (First Stage) Losi MRC Pro GT3B Radio Gear 1.9 Rovers, Stock Wheels Power HD-1501MG Servo 231oz/.14sec HR Rear Bent Links HolmesHobbies Motor Stock ESC (For Now)Mamba Micro Pro 10mm Wideners on the Front Traxxas Overdrive Mod. Not Much to look at right now.... Last edited by run2jeepn; 07-18-2011 at 12:05 AM. |

Just got my Pro running and the only real issue I have is not being able to get enough weight in the front wheels. With a strip of stick on weights I could only get the wheels+tires to weigh 2.4oz which is way to light. Most aluminum rims weight close to that with no weight. If you have some axial beadlocks laying around, you can get more weight in them. And that servo looks great, but the $15 shipping doesn't. |

Glad you're back in the game with the 1.9's! They're just too much fun not to have one. |

Got some more parts in today.. Wheel Wideners - I wanted to widen the Front just a little more then the Rear and enough for the tires to clear links, Shocks and the Servo.. These made me 1/4in Wider then the Rear. Tiny 2 cell Lipos - I didn't want to mount my Lipo on the rear axle or the Chassis. So I needed something small enough to mount to the Front axle or front upper links. I think these fit that Bill... 350mAh 2 cell 20C... Cheap Servo - Trying out the new Servo... Just Bolted it up was all. Not sure what the Spline Count is... I tried a Fub and Hitec horn. Neither fit. So I'll have to order another horn. For now the Stock plastic one should work. As light as the MRC is. It may last for some time. |

Where did you get the packs from? I've been looking and haven't found what I need anywhere.

Builds looking good. I also run a 350mah pack. I've been getting these made overseas along with other sizes and they've been great. $11 and 150 cycle warranty |

Got a little more done today.. Widened the Front Track width just a little more... I replaced the Stock Hex with a slightly thicker Hex and added a 5mm Add on Spacer... Stock Hex on the Left, New Hex in Middle and the 5mm Addition on the right. |

the 1501's are a decent servo. They lack in speed and centering compared to digitals in that range. I've been a long time flyer and bought a set for an airplane. The did the job but wouldn't hold trim. On a crawler they would be great. I got mine from here. http://www.valuehobby.com/product_de...21&item_id=117 They are in illinois and have great lipos too. They usually ship same day...

No Mods... There is two sets of Spacers there... One is from Hot-Racing and one is from X-Speed. They are about $20-30 per set... But there is much more to those kits then what I posted. Each on has 4 Hex's, plus 2-4 different add-ons for different widths.

I know you said you wanted a comp rig, but in one of that last photos it looks like you are beyond the 8in max. I like those hexes though.
