And what aftermarket shocks should i be getting?

Thanks!!
Personally, ive ran my gc-3 for a year, and i loe running the straight links..

From my experience, Bent links just cause havoc, and dont make such a big difference due to the wheelbase.

As for shocks, the Duratrax Vendetta shocks i believe are the ones you want

Just done assembling my GC3 chassis,i absolutely love it!!!!!!
One thing i want to ask is there a scale body outthere that fits the GC3?
Preferably no hard body, all i can find is the Proline Chevy?

Thanks

i think HPI has some, but it may not be a direct fit.

If i would buy the Proline Blazer then i would need longer bodymounts?
Anyone tryed to mount that body on a GC3 chassis?

Thanks

Anyone here running the bent links with the GC3 chassis?
I think if i mount them they will hit the upper links?

Hey man I run bent links front and rear on mine, the rears are something I made and the fronts are the stock ones that I bent then I upgraded the rod ends to get my wheel base back to length and it works awesome I would say night and day difference with bent links well worth it. If your rears are hitting the uppers you could just run them out just a little to clear the uppers or you could do another mod I did to mine, I took the rear upper mount on the axle and ground it down so I could run the uppers on top of the mount instead of on the bottom, it helped with tork twist also.

Would the mini Deans connectors be good for the MRC or do i have to get the regular ones?

Thanks

Idk, for me, i climb some crazy things, and i find that bent links really messes with the minis characteristics.. At times, yes it may seem like it helps, but i find all you really need is just straight links and a 22T motor to get over some obstacles.

your better off just using regular ones. Yes the minis would be beneficial, but they cant handle the amps, which could cause trouble, such as a fire

I still disagree I had to tune my shocks a little but other than that it was no biggy going to bent links and I run a 10.5 turn motor and love it, I try to follow my berg with my mini

either way, you cant go wrong, its more or less personal preference. I prefer running straights, because i notice if you run bents on the GC-3, it alters your COG.
mini with straight links in action

i noticed that the lowers that the GC-3 come with dont slide well on rocks as i would like them too, and are a little fat. What i opted to do was buy 3mm all thread, and get a aluminum tube (this is used to wrap around the all thread tube). this it self will reduce the diameter of the rod, and IMO slide better over rocks with alittle more clearance..

I do agree on the smaller links, I have the pros in the rear of mine that are bent with longer rod ends.

i run a gc3 with rear bent links the hot racing ones and i run them with the bend right near the skid plat and i get a lot more clearance the running the bend closer to the axle but im running my own uppers in the front and back and im running the stock gc3 lowers up front
and i have my rear uppers links in the middle hole

Nope when you bend them thay get shorter so you make up for it with the rod end so im right at regulation wheelbase.

here's mine

adding the bent links didn't change the performance of the truck any but make it easier to get over break overs

i tried this, and i noticed it made the rear feel unpredicatable and unstable at times, which really bugged me..
