Slipper Clutch Question?

New to crawling. What's a good starting point for the slipper clutch. I just running a brushed 280. Doesn't seem to slip much. Tonight I heard a little slipping under a really tight bind. I tightened it just a bit. Is this right or wrong. I'm still running plastic pinion and spur for now and it seemed like the noise may have came from those. Inspected the teeth on both and they showed no signs of wear.

its ok to tighten your slipper. I run mine tight. They run them loose so its easier on parts. have fun crawling

for comping, tighten all the way..

backyard fun, tighten all the way and then loosen maybe 1/4 turn. adjust from there.

Good input. Thanks to all for the advise. I went ahead and tightened it down then backed it off a 1/4. I'll see what that does.
