and also, some back-up wheels with flatirons, for a lil more breakover clearance... now i just need to grow a pair and cut these up to make some 4" rovers...

just waiting for my B1-R to come back from tekin... should be here tomorrow, and i'll be ready to rip it up!!!

think this is a lil much for a MRC? lol... hopefully CC BEC will help...

Nice! Those contraband motors are beast! You'd think they were a BL motor! Haha it's hard getting yourself to cut a perfectly good set of tires! But just do it!

get cutting !, the 4" rovers are great - all the pros of rovers, with extra hieght = awesome tyres.

Take it slowly, I found the most important bit was getting clean straight cuts for the side walls, buy the best glue too (fast setting stuff) and work carefully. Any gaps can be stuck later. Turn the tyre inside out once stuck (allow to set for a few hours first) and seal the seams (then leave to set for a few hours before turning back the right way round).

I managed ok despite rushing a little. Tyres/tires have held up - even in tight binds with the tires wrapping round sharp rock.

You know I have a funny love hate with gluing tires. I tried several different setups. I glued up some rovers on prolines and they wound up being pretty big. 4.25 and I noticed they were not really as round as a new tire. The best I glued were some proline hammers that I kept the centers on and also siped. Those Beast flat stuck to stuff.

I am running rovers on BWD wheels and they are just a touch under 4 as the wheels are pretty narrow. I am EXTREMELY happy with that setup and the only temptation now is to try and glue up some pins.

Looks like a great setup. Can't tell in the photo, but make sure the red wire going from the ESC to the RX is disconnected.

cant really say since i dont run a Beetle juice. I run a GC-3. But.. I would suggest changing the upper shock mounts to something more sturdy, since when i used to crawl the shocks sometimes popped off. so what i did was get a flat head screw, and a washer, and held the shock cap together like that. Not only did it stop falling off, it also felt like it had less slop.

your welcome!

in addition, i find running Silver springs in front, and blue springs in rear help a lot. it seems to be a good combo of soft/stiffness. 30weight oil works good for me, but will differ between location due to temperatures.
