| Omega's MRC Pro (x2) build thread
After seeing the 1.9s in action at a comp a few weeks ago we decided to buy a couple...or three. I ended up buying a MRC Pro roller, then the next day I bought a used MRC from a member here. I was going to strip the wheels and electronics off of the used rig and give my dad the extra parts for him to build a rig but he decided he wanted to go MRC Pro as well. So now I will have 2 complete rigs myself. The MRC Pros will be outfitted nearly identical except for the motors (which came with the used MRC): Motors: mine - Mini-Slider, dad's - stock MRC RTR 3-Racing motor plate 3-Racing bent rear links Traxxas 7079 overdrive mod Losb1260 pinion set for Mini-Slider motor Castle Creations Sidewinder Micro ESC FlySky GT3B Radio with hack CC BEC Gens Ace 450mah 2s LiPo batteries T-Pro MG996R Servo ($12 from HobbyPartz...thought they were worth a try) I also put blue beadlock rings on my MRC Pro. Yes, I was getting into the blue color scheme quite a bit. My Second MRC: Gatekeeper chassis Novak Mongoose ESC/Motor metal lockers all around Airtronics servo FlySky GT3B Radio with hack Aluminum knuckles, C-Hubs, lockouts, wheel hexes Vanquish LH Procomps CC BEC Proline bug body (also have a new one to paint up) Duratrax shocks/springs Losi bent rear links Probably some things I forgot I think that about covers it, now on to the pics. Wheel weights in front (add about 1.8oz to each wheel): My MRC Pro: My dad's MRC Pro: |

Nice looking! Have you run it with battery on top like that?

Move that battery where your bec is and put the bec on the other side of the tranny or on top. That will lower your COG and will make it much more stable. |

Thanks guys! We got our bodies painted yesterday so I'll get pics of those up soon. I've ran the crawler inside a bit but not on the rocks yet. I tried putting the battery on the upper links but it hits into the springs too much for my liking. I plan on running my dad's rig a bit to see how it works and then I'll change up the electronics locations when I finish my rig. I'm still waiting on my BEC to show up before I can finish my MRC Pro. |

Here's my dad's rig. He decided to pick up some red beadlock rings for his. Here's mine mocked up (still no electronics installed): |
