Question Body Mount Post?

I decided I want the Pro-Line K5 body. What do I need to do on my pro to switch from vertical body mounts to the horizontal type that come on the standard mini crawler? Thanks

fab up a solid piece of plastic or delrin to hold the TVPs together. in the middle of that, drill/tap holes for screws, that go into the body posts.

Well I went ahead and ordered the Pro-Line K5 for my mini pro. I'll post some pictures as soon as I get it mounted up and painted.

Advantage to side, over vertical body mounts? I see plus's and minus's to both actually....

Still not decided on the mounting yet. I went ahead and ordered a set of the horizontal mounts. I'll play around and see what works the best.

I liked horizontal on the bug body I had. It was less noticable than vertical posts sticking out the top.

I notice that side mount, you loose body clips easier, and can get caught on obstacles (kinda like hell's gate), but it is rare... positive side is that you can roll back onto your tires easier.

Vertical body mounts restrain the kits ability to roll back on its tires. positive side i see is that it wont get caught while going through a course.
