Default sidewinder micro + brushed = nova

got an mrc pro kit. put in a micro 4200kv set. blah, don't enjoy brushless too much.
so i got a brood anarchy. nice and smooth.
after i programed the esc, i drove it across the floor stopped and then nothing. gave it a nudge and it started moving again. drove it around a little, stopped and nothing again. it will keep going as long as i'm on the throttle.
any ideas? tried different lipos, and reprogramming. same result. i'm kinda leaning towards the esc because even when beep is enabled it does not beep.

i use these escs in my bully with no problems thus far so,
i'm stumped.

Possibly a hung brush (although I doubt it with the motor being new). When it stops, give a tug to each of the brush wires and then let them go...

hmmm just a thought. make sure your motor screws are not to long otherwise you might be shorting out the motor

Stuck brush is possible, easy to check too,if thats not it.
check your solder job on the motor,if thats not it on to this.

I would place the truck on a stand (box, brick,to get any uneeded stress off the motor for a little trouble shooting.

Now,see if the same thing happens, not just wide open, but with very small throtle input,if so I would disconect one drivshaft and repeat,if same thing, disconect another driveshaft. If same thing then I would remove the motor pinion. This will take you 10 minutes and then you can completely remove the drivline from the list of possabilities.

Now its esc,power or motor.

make sure its a good and fress batt.if same thing, its esc or motor

Make sure your lipo cutoff isnt set to high, set on brushed mode, ect.

If it is the motor,I would open it up and check the internals,a small washer, shard of metel from teh workbench could possibly have make its was inside.Check the comm/brushes for any scars.possibly indications a forign object had been inside.

No beeps, but you get movement when you nudge it? Either a hung brush or a dead segment.

pretty sure it's a brush issue. ran it, stopped, no go, tugged on brush wires and it stared going again.
@rock hard, it's less likely to do it in the air. when it first started happening, i'd pick it up and hit the throttle and it would go. i wouldn't discount something in it i.e. bit of metal. i don't have the cleanest work are.
should i disassemble and inspect or would yous suggest i send it back?

Once you tugged on the brush, has it continued to stall out?
If not then I would cal it good to go for now.

If it is continuing to stall, then I would pm eddie with it.

Notice I saud "see" if it still happens.
I once had stalling issues and it seemed like it was motor/esc related.
We was at a comp.and I didnt even think about the drivline.Well ended up it was working ok I thought, and snap....cvd pin working out was the appearent issue. It would hitAnd it showed its face under full throttle, cvd pin hit the knuckle and snaped off the end of the axle houising.......Yeah,I learned my lesson the hard way.I dont assume,I start elliminating possabilities till I narrow it down.

You too have a stuck brush!

Just kidding. Which system? Sensored? If so, you might have a bad sensor wire...
