Smile Opinion, Which motor do you think would be better for my MRC?

I already have an EZRUN 25A brushless ESC sitting on my desk, now I just need a motor.

I know they're very similar, but I've narrowed it down to these two..

Tacon 2040 17t 3400kv

Tacon 2040 16t 3600kv
http://www.hobbypartz.com/96m264-2040-3600kv-16t.html

I know about cogging and all of that, but I've never delved into the realm of brushless, so help me out here.

If I go with the 3400 I think my low end will be better, but do you think I'll suffer much as far as wheel speed goes? The only reason I see the 3600 being better is for more wheel speed.

I've already mentioned the ESC I'm going to use, for my batteries I have Gens Ace 800mAh 2cell 20c packs. This is all going into a Losi MRC Pro that's on it's way with some other goodies.

Any advice / input is appreciated!

Since your already sold on the brushless go with the 3400 motor. Your wheelspeed will not suffer much if at all and it will still have the jerky cogging torque.

A brushed system is tried and true in crawlers such as the Losi MRC

From my research it seems like cogging is pretty minimal after you play around with settings and gearing. I'll report how it goes hopefully sometime next week.

I'm leaning towards the 3400, but I'd love to have some others chime in before I order this stuff tomorrow.

One more thing.. Does anybody know how big the bullet plugs are on my 25A EZRUN? I have a little outrunner here and the plugs are way smaller, I'd like to order up some connectors so that I can try the outrunner at some point. (and I hope this Tacon has the right sized ones.. They appear to be the same in the pictures..)

Thanks!

Yeah, the options are 0%, 5%, 10%, 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, and 100%. It has a ton of options for programming!

Sensorless doesn't necessarily cog, but it does surge when bound up which means you will not be able to crawl with precision. If you are just messing around, then it will work fine.
