| Is the mrc pro no longer?
Sorry if this is common knowledge and I did a search on here and on Google. Did Losi quit making the mrc pro, I have been trying to find one for my son for Xmas? If they did that really sucks.

As per their online store (Horizon Hobbies) been discontinued (Horizon Hobby: 1/18 Mini Rock Crawler Pro Race Roller by Team Losi Racing (LOSA0101)). There's another thread that mentions Losi getting out of the Crawler market all together. That being said, there's a number of places on the net to source one, and a whole lot of aftermarket parts support for Chassis\Wheels\Tires\driveline etc. |

Thanks, I seen Horizon had them discontinued and I couldn't find any in stock anywhere. I just found them at rcplanet for 69.99 and I ordered 2 one for my son one for me. | |

Yes the Pro is being dropped but the RTR will continue. This is from Losi's Rich Trujillo himself when I spoke to him at RCX.. There wasn't enough market support and 1.9 comp interest to keep the Pro going so they discounted the remaining inventory to clear them out. He did say that parts support and the 1/10 LCC and LNC will be continued. |

Thats just crazy, from what I have seen the 1.9 class is growing stronger. And IMO the LCC is one of the most capable rigs out there.*

| What a good salesman. I hate to say it but maybe they should look somewhere else to promote them. You have a good thing going. Why?

I love my MRC's but just it is always said, some competition would be great. Axial would produce a fine machine i imagine. Last edited by xgerstandtx; 10-24-2011 at 03:42 AM. |

I know this is an old thread but I found it searching for somthing else. I never noticed the mini as I was into ax10s but when my daughter wanted to buy me a xmas present I got a mini pro, then when I saw it was a discontinued item I bought 2 more. Out of interest what were they selling for before the price drop to get rid of them. From what Ive seen they are way better then the rtr version but its alot of money for somthing that needs to be upgrades. The pro just add the electrics and your done Nik |

That's a bummer. I ended up picking up a chasis and shocks and swapped my RTR to the PRO. it runs so much better. I see a lot of folks here at RCC with PRO's guess we not the majoratiy. Time to move on to the 1/10 calss. |

I think Losi is getting out of Comp Crawling. But I've heard that they've been seen testing a 1/10 MOA so who knows.

| Re: Is the mrc pro no longer? To convert yours to a pro all you need to keep off of the rtr is the axles, tranny, and lower links everything else is useless read some build threads here theres alot of options other than a chassis from losi!!

Cool, I'm eyeballing the "Gatekeeper Designs Mini GC-3 Chassis Kit". What is the most popular chassis for the Mini if not the GC-3? Where there any improvements on the pro that the RTR does not have other than the chassis? I was thinking maybe pick up a pro and sell the RTR I just got...if its worth going this route. Cant find much comparing the two, unless they are identical hence the chassis... Last edited by essence25; 03-09-2012 at 02:09 AM. |
