Dont get the Hot Racing one wont fit pro if you have one those. I got the Rcbros one but gotta figure out something on the screws that connect to the knuckles they dont work either. |

I would recommend getting the BWD upper link/servo/battery mount and making some shorter upper links. Then get the BWD OTA steering kit.

What good will drilling out the mounting hole do? Its to short to fit with aluminum knuckles and c's. Its at least a 1/2 inch shorter. The hot racing that is. I think I got one from CKRC or TCS cant remember but its also aluminum and would look and be nice but yet again its not a Direct bolt up gonna have to figure out some screw options on the right front cuz the one that works for the stock one is to big for around for that link. To be Honest It Would Prolly be pretty easy to make one. Theres not alot to a Steering Link and if do that then you could make Bends to allow for any rubbing issues. |

Broke mine first time out too. I just make quick links out of 8-32 threaded rod and Traxxas 5347 rod ends. If you're talking about the link that goes from left wheel to right wheel, you need to bend it about 1/4" to keep it off the axle housing. Just to keep it from looking too ugly, I covered the threads with colored heat-shrink tubing. Or you could sleeve with aluminum tubing or something. Not needed for strength purposes. I'd recommend you build a cheapie like this first before you do anything custom out of Ti. You'll have a better idea of what you're doing when you want to do it nice. |
