Default I just had to...MiniXR...what the?

After selling a bunch of stuff off my 1.9 comp rig, the rumor is we may
be starting up the class here in Florida.
Figures...right

So what to do? Still had the drivetrain, couldn't get myself to ditch it, good thing.

Soooo...Needed a chassis, no $$ to spare since I just upgraded my XR.
I'm looking at the stock XR10 chassis I have and said...WTF, why not?!

Specs:
Axial XR10 Chassis.
MRC drivetrain; metal lockers F, R & C.
HR Aluminum tranny gears & spur.
BWD Motor Plate.
RCBros Front 4 link/servo plate.
RCBros Zero Ack Knucks & Steering Link.
HR Aluminum C's.
HR Aluminum Threaded Shocks.
Losi Wide AL. Hexes.
Traxxas Overdrive.
Hitec 7954 Servo.
HH Mini TorqueMaster.
CC Micro Sidewinder.
MIP Driveshafts.
CC BEC.
Speky Micro RX.
Losi 2S2P 600mah Lipos.
DNA Aluminum 5 spokes wrapped w/ Rovers.
Bug Body.

Initial driving looks very promising.
The large skid is my only real concern.
Only time will tell...

So without further ado, here she is

Interesting build, I will keep an eye out on this build. Never thought anyone would try a 2.2 chassis on a 1.9.

Pretty cool looking! Question, since using the rcbros front 4link/servo plate I notice you are using the shortest upper link holes. 2 things, what did you use to make new links and I was gonna ask how you like the shorter links, but with a stretched chassis, not a fair question I guess.

I was thinking of just using 6/32 threaded rod and putting shrink wrap over it, but not sure if I like the flex in that rod.

Thanks guys! The chassis was small enough to at least try it.

All the links are made of .25" delrin rod. You can use the threaded rod for
your uppers. I just find the delrin easy to work with.

The axial beads left my track width at 7". The wideners put it exactly at 8". I'll be getting some good beads when I find the $$.

Thanks John! So far it's dam good all things concidered
There's some rocks to be crawled on here. You just need
to be shown where they are.
As you can see I've started my pathetic
rock pile here for testing & tuning.

Seems good but I don't have much drive time on it yet.
Should be comping it this weekend so I'll have a better feel for it.

Thanks! I'm in Citra, do most of the crawling in Gainesville.

Unfortunetly only 2 of us showed up with 1.9's.
So needless to say we didn't comp 'em.
Maybe next time
