Default Motor Ideas & motor soldering ??'s

I got a contraband i'll be running for comps in 2012, Looking for a NICE back-up motor Just in case any suggestions? Also Can I solder wires from motor so I can install some castle bullet connectors for easy motor changing?
My esc is a sidwinder and has the bullet connectors on it already but dont want to run the castle motor that it came with. I went ahead an ordered the cc 4mm male/female bullets.

yes you can i have a hh motor & a micro pro with the setup you are asking about its a little tricky but if you setup a soldering fixture with alligator clips its much easier tin the motor tabs & tin the bullets than put the pieces together

Money's No object either as long as its good.

Actually if all you wnat is a back up motor ou could do a little losi insane motor. Surprisingly gutsy for what they cost. Or get a reedy mini-max. half the cost of you main motor ( understandably so) but adequete for the purpose

top choice IMO for you would be to ry to put your hands on a
19t-17t reedy mini mod or
22t trinity mini monster

Both share parts with my motors
and both are rebuildable

but really for a backup, nearly any brushed motor will do in a pinch.

If you want a back up motor and money is no object why not order another contraband motor. Then in the unlikely event of your motor failing you will be replacing it with something just as good
Sure Rock Hard would be happy with that solution though too modest to suggest it himself.
Torque Masters are always out of stick because HH no longer makes them.
