| Sub-C cell battery packs in MRC
Has anyone tried using sub-c size 7.2v battery packs? I really like the mah options of nimh batteries of this size (3000 and up) and wondered if the stock electronics could handle them. It's my understanding that 7.2v is 7.2v and as long as the voltage remains you could run any battery size and configuration you want. Opinions please?

You are correct, "Volts are volts", the electronics don't care what battery chemistry makes the volts, only how many volts. Not sure why you want high mah's, we run 325mah 2S LiPO packs and you could likely do 2 comp courses with them. They are also very small & light, they don't cost much either. Each to their own, yes it'll work. Last edited by Charlie-III; 11-08-2011 at 06:55 AM. Reason: Added capacity comments |

That poor MRC will be smashed by the weight of the pack. |
