Default mrc

got a question . my mrc makes a popping sound when it gets binded in the rocks. but i have metal ring and pinion in the front and rear diffs.

sounds like your ring and pinion gears are skipping in the diff. You can get longer bolts and nut the axle halves together and tamiya sells some 4mm shims in .01, .02, and .03mm if you want to shim the ring and pinion tighter. If you do a search you can prob find more info. on the shims and part numbers. Good luck man.

It's most likely the diff/diffs making the popping sound under load, as mentioned, shim the pinion a bit closer to the ring gear.

How is the motor pinion to spur mesh?

I think at this point you are best off going from the least difficult gear to get to the hardest. If it were my truck this is how that would look.

1. Motor spur/pinion.
2. Tranny Gears(I have blown those before on the smaller tranny gear.
3. Ring and Pinions at the axles.

Last resort, check the pins on the shafts as well as at the knuckles if running CVD's. Much can go wrong on these little guys and I have done about all wrong with mine.
