I love my lo pro...just wish I got to use it more lol. Living 2.5 hours away from the closest crawl series kinda sucks.

IF you have property (or a usable backyard) make a crawler course our of man made and natural materials like I have. I live in SE Louisiana and we have no rocks or even a lot of natural crawling terrain per se. So, I've enjoyed making my own backyard course with the kids. I use a Losi mini crawler and Redcat 1/24 Sumo Crawler on it. I'm jealous of folks who have natural rock terrain, but building courses is a lot of fun too!

I started building a little course, but I live in a rental so I couldn't do to much. Hopefully in the near future I will have my own place and I can do whatever I want lol.

Great read!
Had a look at this from start to finish.

Awesome tech on these little machines!

Does it still get used?

Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for the kind words!
It does still get used, in fact today it took the 2nd place season points trophy in our local winter series. My son, who drives it's twin, won the series. The lp2 is an amazing chassis!

I built my own chassis and will give it a go.

I'm new to this class and ho boy these are hard to set up...
Space is always a premium!!

I'm actually making a build thread (Yes, a build thread in RCC in 2019!!!), hope it will be half as interesting as this one is ;)

Congrats to you and your son!!

Don sent my son and me a care package a while back containing 2 of the new aluminum upgrade chassis sets for our LP2.0s, and I finally had a chance to put mine on. These things are beautiful, and add a lot of rigidity to the chassis, allowing the suspension to really do it's job. It's nice to see some new upgrades available in this class.

And, yes, it does way a little more than my g10 plates I was running, but the benefits of the aluminum outweigh the few extra grams, plus the added weight is fairly low.

While I was at it, I decided the new chassis deserved some new skins as well:
Sorry, in my excitement to get it all back together, I forgot to take pics without the cab and skins.
