"C" rating along with capacity (AKA, mah) determine the instant power a pack can provide.

When you have a large mah (2000mah+) you have a lot of "umph", thus the "C" can be low.
When you have a small mah (like a 325mah we use for 1.9 MRC's) you should have a higher "C".

What is low "C" vs. high "C"?????

When I am looking at a 825mah 3S pack, I'm looking at a 45C+, when I'm looking at a 2000mah 3S pack, I'm looking at a 25C+.

I have not heard that it is really worth spending big $$$ for a MaxAmps pack.
I never ran them, but have heard a number of issues.

I buy from CBP and stick to the Elite packs. Decent price, no bad packs and good power.

I run 800mah 20c Gens ace with a Losi Insane motor (very fast!) and an AE-2 ESC.. The motor and esc get pretty warm, but the pack stays cool.. so I'm sure the motor's not drawing more amps than the pack can discharge...

You might also care about charging rate. Cheapies usually restrict charging to 1C, and that can take a while if you're not a planner. Good quality batteries like MaxAmps, ThunderPower and Hyperion can charge at 5C or higher. As a compromise, I use GensAce (Hobbypartz.com) because they're cheap but still rated for a 5C charge. Or if I'm not in a hurry, I get Turnigy Nano-tech lipos from China (Hobbyking.com) which charge 5C and are even cheaper. They both seem to get the job done -- haven't thrown one away yet.

I also fly RC and go flying on a whim when I see decent weather. Don't want to waste an hour charging batteries. And you're not supposed to store them fully charged. So a quick-charging battery is best.

Four minutes???? A 325mah 2S pack will get you that and then some.
Or, did you mean 40 minutes?

my stock battery tray was already modded when i got it so the 1300's fit in it but on an unmodded tray they would probably be about 3/16" to long maybe a 1100mah or smaller pack would fit?

The 800's do not really fit on the links without interfering with articulation. I mount mine on my rear axle. It's only a couple mm higher than the links and these packs are so light I don'y think it makes much diff.

How about a DIY saddle pack with ThunderPower 350's or GensAce 450's? Stick them on front and rear links or wherever makes sense to you. And then make up a Y-pigtail for them.
