Well I’ve stared at all the great build threads on this site long enough and thought it was time for my own. This is more of a built thread and my first crack at it so go easy. I wanted to build on the cheap for now and test & upgrade as I go so this is just a start. I already have ideas on some changes in mind, like outboard the upper links and centering the servo but I wanted to see how it drove first so I could see how the changes affect it. Oh yea I’m not new to RC but new to comp level crawling and looking for feedback. Hope this works.... Jeremy Big thanks for all your help. Last edited by RCOG; 04-30-2012 at 06:34 PM. |

| Re: RCOG's McRC Pro Thanks, nothing special very stock for now. Being my first comp'r I really wanted to understand the changes I'm making and find "my style" and the only way to do that is to start fairly stock. didn't want to just buy and bolt on everything every one else likes. I would have 10 different rigs....... |

Well I took this truck out for her maiden voyage this past weekend and I'm very happy with it. This truck did very well for being as stock as it is. Other than breaking 2 drive shafts I had no other issues. The MIP's will go on before round two . There are a few tweeks I will make as well but aren't there always. Very Happy |

Well, after getting my OD (MiniRevo) mod done and a few other little tweeks I was ready to go test her out. The day started bad when I realized I had forgot my batteries at home but JeremyH hooked me up with one of his (Thanks Again) but after bout 30sec of crawl time I lost a shock end (Thanks to JeremyH & Michael for finding my shock spring and the CA glue).Repairs were made we were back on the rocks, Then 30sec into round 2 disaster struck A bent CVD pin was the cause! Day was over...... I will rebuild this but seriously thinking LCC Mod! Thanks again to Jeremy & Michael for helping me out, still enjoyed the morning Hows the ankle. |

That's some mighty fine carnage! My ankle hurt all day.......and I felt like crap the next day too. I guess too much hornet venom isnt good for the body. |

| Re: RCOG's MRC Pro The body covers it and keeps it fairly safe, the mongoose is not the smallest esc so didn't want to try to fit it on the front uppers with the battery. Made a mount for it that is secure, so far so good.

Gotcha. i put mine on the rear uppers. Ive seen some say keep the rear clean, but im fairly new to all this and have def been bit by the bug so i tried it any way. With the outboarded shocks and a custom mount it fits back there nicely and doesnt bind anything. Im thinking ill make a built thread aswell either way, good stuff man!

Buying a star so I could post pics and have more access to the buy/sell & vendor page is worth it. Support the site and the site will support you! | |

| Re: RCOG's MRC Pro It handles fairly well, I have about 7mm spring limiters in the front that help a lot. Still undecided on the rear, need some more drive time with it before I decide what to do. Every one has different driving styles so finding yours will help you decide what to change or you will be driving what's good for someone else.

I personally really like the inner shaft LCC mod. I know a lot of guys had issues with the MRC stubs but I saw 3 in one day at our club snap right at the axle ball. Went LCC and I have never been happier, and have a pretty bullet proof front end of this rig.
