| a2hill's MRC Pro halfway built but mostly a wip
Just wanted to put my MRC up, ive just finished a few things just got into it a couple months ago and now it has a hold of me on to the specs! stock chassis stock uppers/lowers(those are next i think) outboard shocks flipped Infectious servo mount custom rear elecs mount HiTec-645mg servo Novak Mongoose esc and 380 motor a Lansu 3ch tx/rx not using 3rd channel(was used on other mrc with 4ws, but thats being turned into a bluetooth bot, so its been stripped) running some zippys 800mah batteries and have held up well custom steering link bent to fit around front of axle custom drag link ProLine Titus 1.9's 1.9 Chisels thats really about it but.. i plan on doing: upgrading knuckles to LCC and get weights bomb proof mounts replace/make uppers/lowers links widen wheels different wheels/tires undecided: Should i get a diff chassis I need a new body, i dont like this one, but not sure what i should do without further ado~ Thanks for looking! I would love to hear some feedback! |

That is looking real good man. I would definitely reccommend the LCC mod with the bomb proof shock/link mounts. And as far as tire suggestion goes, I would HIGHLY suggest the hb rovers. You really cannot go wrong with them. Keep up the nice work man |

The brand is HB (hot bodies), the 1.9 rovers only come in red dot compound |

For the LCC mod, how is the steering linkage affected? do the knuckles extend away from the axle further then stock? do they shorten the link, not so worried about the drag link but the actual steering link. Hobby shop here doesnt carry them so ive only seen from pics, but hard to tell perspective i guess.

You will need to make new steering linkage. The distance between the knuckles is further with the LCC mod.

Looks really good, run it a bit before you make/buy too many changes and upgrades. One thing I noticed when I was doing my searching is all the different set UPS and tweeks. Look and you will find the top guys running rigs with almost nothing stock to Mr. Rubba who lay waste to the competition with a mostly stock MRC Pro. Drive it Alot then make the changes you feel you need. I think he even used the stock pro tires which work quite well IMHO. Go slow and enjoy! |

Are you planning on comping this or is it just for recreational purposes?

but... i would like to join up at least at the GTG that come around and be able to keep up. If there was more comps here i would try to comp, but for now no dice :( Thanks for the tips! main thing i noticed is the weight in the front. the titus's have the 4oz weights upfront and brings me to about 7.5oz for each tire, but im wanting it to stick a bit better, so the LCC/weight mod i think will be my next upgrade. On top of that i want better wheels/tires which above mentioned the Rovers but i want better wheels first | |

You won't go wrong with the rovers. I might switch to them for the added tire height. The stock pro claws seem to have plenty of traction but are a little smaller in dia. If you haven't already check out Rubba's MRC Pro build thread. Driving has a lot to do with it, the set up is already pretty capable. |

If you're just looking for a little length you could use longer hardware and use some washers to space it out so its longer.

Ah good idea. Think I'm gonna use the extra pipe from the linkage and have it slide over existing post. I only need it for the front so I can mount a Jeep body for the heck of it. They'll be temp
