| Wheel widener gurus needed
Ok I got a set on a used truck and one of them was boogered up.. So I've been searching and have came up with zilch. They are aluminum have no identifying marks just plain alumnium in color. They do screw in and have a cut down Allen head bolt to tighten wheel with. They look to be 1 inch lug with a hex and nipple on the end. I do know the chasis was a new era models extended type but figured the wideners were too, but can't find a pic anywhere. Anyways without pics this will be a pita and I will get some up soon but was hoping to see some older styles or new eras? Thanks if you can help art |

Note: The LCC mod pushed my width back out to the same width as the wideners, but the fact that it is now bullet proof overcomes the negatives. | |

That's not that far if I spend a day. I just made my own drag/steering links and I can tell the wideners really throw the wheels cockeyed and measured again and it is 3/4 inch with a 1/16 lip.. Thanks for the link btw |

Here is the link to our local club SMRCRC. We would be happy to have you come join us. Our last comp of the season is October 14 and we will be having a picnic along with trophy presentations after the comp. Come on down and meet the guys if you're free that day.

| Re: Wheel widener gurus needed If by cog you are referring to the height of your skid... that is waaaaaaay too high. My skid is slanted, and the back of it is just a touch over 1 3/4" high. Putting 1.9 wheels/tires back on it will help a lot.

| Re: Wheel widener gurus needed Do it, it looks like it could use a little love. If I remember correctly, those wideners appear to be from RC4WD. My advice for what it's worth.... do some reading, decide which direction you want to go, tear it down and let the fun begin! |

Going to 1.9 wheels/tires, moving the battery down lower (and running a smaller one), and 4-linking it will do wonders with minimal cost.
