I've had a smoked one... Don't know why... Must be a common problem after they've been run quite a bit...

I had to pay I think $35 to have Tekin replace it

I have smoked a Sidewinder micro and a Mamba micro pro.. have a mongoose system, from a trade, in now. If that goes, I'm goin with a fx-r for a 14t HH cobalt motor next! I have had the least amount of problems with the fx-r then any other esc in the hobby!

i love the micro pro AND micro sidewinders, with a BEC they are dandy..

my B1r went up also, all I did was turn it on one day and poof. it still comes on just acts all fugged up. so I suppose sending it in is not a good plan if tekin makes up pay money to fix it when its in a 1/18 scale rig and a very hi turn motors , should be able to handle a light weight comp rig with a 30t motor..

but as stated above, the tekin FXR is the smallest, lightest, best internal BEC, awesome drag brake, 3s lipo, smooth power, easy and endless options ESC you can get for something that size for something like an MRC

I have had the same problems with the B1-R!
Smoked 2 brand new ones on a stock motor with 2S pack.
Now i run the CC Sidewinder micro.
I abuse the hell out of it and even experimented with 4S and never had any probs.
The 2 B1-R where an expensive(65 euro's a piece) lesson to learn about the low quality of Tekin electronics.
Even the aftersales from Tekin sucks big time.

Thanks for all the advice guys. My rig is pretty simple and doesnt get beat on too often. I'm pretty disappointed in Tekin on this one, 33T HH motor with a 2S Lipo nothing crazy about that... hopefully Tekin will replace it even though i'll probably replace with something better.

I`ve had this ESC in Losi MRC for 2 days now,and everything was going fine.
Took it out today for a spin, and poof,a flash of spark shot out and then it was dead.
What a pile junk these ESC`s are.
Waiting on the Ebay seller in the US to get back to me about a refund, don`t want another one of these ESC`s.
