I'm running a 2s 1300mah Mad Dog lipo in my MRC. I'll likely be getting a smaller one shortly, though, as the current one doesn't fit so well on my Low Pro chassis. I can make it work, though, by keeping on the side of the chassis, opposite the motor. Think I paid like $13 for it at my LHS.

Run time with a Reedy 19T Stump Puller with weight Dark Soul beadlocks, etc. is better than 30 minutes. I have yet to run down the battery during a single run, so I'd say it's pretty long. And the motor has decent wheel speed, too, so take that into account, too.

As far as connectors, yeah, I changed over to EC5 connectors, which I think is what came on the battery.

EC5 connectors are waaay to big for a mini... I've been using EC3's and those were to big for me so I'm switching over to Micro deans 1300mah battery will last you a while but is big and hard to find a place to mount... I've been running a thunder power 325mah 2s batteries and they've been good batteries... If you don't want to spend the money for them than check HobbyKing they have some good Turnigy nano-techs... I'd recommend something between like 350mah to somewhere around 500mah...

I lied....my battery has an EC3 connector. At least according the manf. specs.

Yeah, hard to find a good mounting spot ,but like I said, I'm putting it on the "driver's side" of the chassis to balance out the weight from the motor on the other side. Using a velcro strap and lexan body panel to secure it.

I'm running turnigy nano tech 2S 850mah, and zippy 2S 800mah. I like the turnigys better, they're a tad shorter.

Here's how I mounted it for a while off my uppers

Here's my current setup. I picked up a servo mount from Infectious RC that has a "tab" extended over the drive shafts for mounting electronics or in my case a battery. I like it a lot better.

Shortbus, do you have some pics of how you side mounted your battery? Thinking that is how I will do it also.

This is the only pic I really ahve that shows where the battery is mounted. It's held in place only by the lexan body panel.

I see, is it easy to swap batteries or do you have to unscrew it all to get it out? Looking for a way to mount with some velcro batt straps.

The way it's currently mounted, I'd have to remove the panel to get the battery out. I can charge it as is, but it's a little tricky since the balance lead is so short.
