Nothing much happens at the moment, I am mostly waiting for parts to be made. Hopefully the chassis from Barry will be here next week. Really excited to receive it When chassis is on its way I have started to look at the "weak" transmission box. After checking around what was available from vendors here on rcc I took a closer look at NCD's transmission box. It is the narrowest option I have found and the front part fits between the lower chassis plates on the Mini Pitbull chassis It might even be possible to use the original NCD narrow transmission box and a short 540-motor, like a Brood Stubby for some real overpower So I asked Tomi if I could borrow the transmission box drawings and redesign it a bit to be able to use smaller motors. Tomi was kind and sent me the drawings. I changed the narrow version so one can use motors with 17 mm between the mounting holes. I decided on 17 mm because I got 3 motors here at home that I want to try with the MRC. From top to bottom, LRP Fusion Micro 370 High Torque, Xtreme 380X hell motor, LRP Fusion Micro 380 High Torque Then after talking to BliB today regarding the MRC axles and some over/underdrive options I did end up sending another version of the transmission box to Tomi. It has an extra pair of gears at the front output shaft to allow some overdrive the front axle while using stock gearing in the axle. I wanted to have extra gears on the rear output shaft too, but the motor was in the way... This version of the gear box requires one to change the direction of one if the axles which can be a bit tricky as there is no holes for the upper link mount on the bottom of the housing. But then I remembered that the Kulak/Exceed axle housings has some mounting holes on the bottom so those would be a really good option. Really eager to get all the parts and start trying to see if everything will work as nice as I hope Last edited by Dravpnir; 02-15-2014 at 11:29 AM. |

Really awesome. It's about time someone put M3 mounts together with a knuckle/lockout setup. So simple it's brilliant. Last edited by MRCrackhead; 02-19-2014 at 01:51 PM. |

Simply sexy! It will allow for better drive shaft angle as well, without giving up the chubs bein clocked. |

It made it over here safe, very good packing, thanks The front width will be just under 8" for the front. For the rear I don't know yet, but less than the front atleast. | |
