Lightbulb Vaterra slick rock cage (ideas for usage)

Ok I bit the bullet an grabbed the vaterra slickrock's chassis/cage to use as a place holder for a build that will be showing its self more in the coming months.

Anyways a quick set of photos of the cage on top of my 6.5" wheelbase jimny mrc scaler.

As you can see it actually looks like this would make a interesting 1.55 mini scaler rig of some sort.. also surprisingly looks good on a mini lst

mini wrexo anyone? mini lst an mrc share diffs an use the same output shaft size!

I go the slick rock cage off horizon hobby for about 40 after shipping. It looks like it would have years of room for electronics an other gear

You're making me wanna try a "mini" ultra4 style car. Mini LST junk up front, viscous diff with thick fluid, Mini T trans, MRC rear axle (flipped to correct rotation to MLST front), and a low KV brushless on 3s would be a good start...

Ya it is a fairly good price for what you get this cage is fairly rigid aswell. I don't have all my mrc stock parts left enough to do a test fit but i'm sure someone else will be able to do a interesting build with this cage though!

This looks pretty slick and well made. I have used the vaterra kemora earlier and was really happy with the overall quality. Its a shame they discontinued it. Is the entire Vaterra line being shut down by Horizon?

Might i add that Vaterra parts are quite cheaper than the MRC parts used to be !

Time to stock up on hard to find parts for the MRC !

I was thinking about buying one to bolt my pro up to. Do you think the pro would bolt up to this?
