So how well do they perform being drooped like that? Seems like you'd want at least some spring resistance on there. I mean I run one of my micros that way, but don't think I'd consider doing that with my MRC.

They have spring resistance inside the shocks. Rebuilt them with pen springs inside. They crawl like snakes. They're incredibly capable. Still need to work more on the black 4ws crawler but the blue one works great.

I do a similar setup, full droop front with pen springs, half droop/half sprung rear (pen spring cut in half) and it works great, it's like they were made to run droop, nice pair you have there *thumbsup

Yeah I like the full droop as it feels like a snake driving it. Picked these both up for steals. They really were designed for droop. I figured I'd make one 2ws and keep it looking nice and the other 4wd so I have the best of both worlds. The vanquish wheels are incredibly heavy. I'm pleased with both.

You should play with internal limitin to cut down the flex some, it makes the incredibly predictable, mine are limited 4mm I know a lot of others do this as well maybe they will pitch in with thoughts/advice

Yeah I limited the blue crawler much more than the picture. Its set up similarly to the black crawler. I have really gotten these things outside much but that'll be changing soon. Do you know where I can get the screws for the steering linkage. I'm using collars and some extra screws I had and there's too much play in the rear steering. It also has a servo saver on it so on really high grip areas it takes the crawler a bit of movement to allow the wheels to fully move.

Nice pair of mrcs. Ditch the servo savers and go with aluminum servo horns. Best steering mod you can make.

Oh yeah I'm getting rid of that thing. It annoys me but that's what came with the parts I had ordered and I only had a small amount of time to get it all pit together.

MCRC custom! Thoughts? Suggestions and comments?

Wheel wideners, different wheels and 4ws. Anyone know how to hide the electronics a bit better?

Still need to pull the wheels apart and put some lead weight in them.

Looks really cool all stretched out and low.

What's up with the drive shafts? Can't tell what's in there, from the picture.

They look to be extended with aluminum tube. Pretty common with the micros. There are only 3 different driveshafts available for micros (original MCRC, Trekker, and Redcat Sumo Micro), and none of them will support a wheelbase much over 4.5-5", therefore you have to extend the stockers...

you need to limit that flex some.
add some weight and flip the tires on the blue one. the tread is backwards.
for steering look on ebay and get some CVD's if you can find them. it is a bolt on improvement but better. the
XR mod is the best by far but just if you want to keep it a little more simple then this is good.

Its aluminum tube that I cut the female end of the stock shaft and put it in one end and the other side of the stock female in the other end. Had to do it with the length

Yes I limited it some from the last time you saw it. I've got some new plans for the black crawler, gonna try and stretch it like I did the micro. I put CVD's in the front of the Blue Crawler. Need two sets for the Black 4WS crawler.

What is the XR Mod? My goal is for a Micro "Super" and a Mini "Super" Let me know some recommendations.
