Ghost's JCAD Karnage Jr Build

7 Attachment(s)
Got my Karnage jr chassis in the mail yesterday "thumbsup"
got around to the build at 3 am this morning.
Excellent kit, includes all the hardware you will need to assemble it, along with a color coded drawing to help with assembly (really nice touch)
the skid plate is 3d printed the chassis plats are cut from delrin and it came with the side panels "thumbsup" only panels I had to make were the hood and roof
so that was easy for someone like me (who can't cut a straight line lol)
still need to stuff the rest of the electronics in and get it out on the rocks for some testing this weekend then run it at the Arizona summer shootout next weekend. enough talk on to the pictures.

looks good! I think im going to steal that rx mounting you did for my build, whats your wheelbase set at?

Re: Ghost's JCAD Karnage Jr Build

the rx mount is a piece of lexan shogoo'd to the trans case and the rx servo taped to it to keep it away from the drive shaft.
the wheel base is sitting at 8 3/8 inches

Got the jr out on the rock this weekend (not as much as I wanted due to circumstances beyond my control) only ran 2 of the 4 courses due to time constraints did good on one and not do good on the other but was my driving not the chassis to blame (LOL) loving it, still needs some tweeking but it was nice and predictable with only 20 minutes of "practice" before comping with it today. managed to score some delux full knuckle weight rings, time to get some holders or mod the ones I have. all in all am very happy with the chassis so far, will be getting it out on the rocks more in the near future

Good to hear it drives as well as it looks.

Practice is everything.

I drove a friends well built mini last week at a comp. First time in months.

The first course was not good, seemed like my very first time holding a remote control......hahaha.

The second course went much better.....I need a lot more mini practice time myself.

was in a bit of a rush to get it running for the summer shoot out this weekend, going to make new links from titanium, make a new servo/ upper link mount and get my new knuckle weight rings mounted and hopefully a new smaller esc, still not sure how I managed to shoehorn a decased brxl in there. also finally getting a set of rovers

Re: Ghost's JCAD Karnage Jr Build

Focus, this is from Monkeyracer (the vendor of the chassis)
This chassis is currently in testing and based on feedback from those people testing it, slight changes will be made. After that there will be a vendor thread with the pre-order information on it. Stay tuned to this thread. As soon as the pre-order thread is posted, I will link to it here.

Price will be affordable, but I can't provide any numbers in a build thread.
here is the link to the thread for more information

let me know if you have any other questions
