Default low pro wedge-resurrection!

bought this bad boy used a couple weeks back. it was in need of some love. here's the results--

dumped the novak brushless system for a micro sidewinder and 380x motor running stock 60 spur and 15t pinion on 2 s.

it has -real deal knuckle weights(3oz each!) on it with the matching aluminum knuckles.. the c's were stripped out so i got some slickrock aluminum ones.

bwd wedge "low pro" chassis, bwd wheels 1/2"wide,hb rovers, stock foams.
VP srevo plate,hitech 5645mg servo.

the hardware on this was a complete mess. pieced together what i could, still have to order some screws. the only place i'm really falling short is the CAB. missing some of the delrin tubing. i sent BWD a message but haven't heard back yet..

can anyone tell me what the nose piece is supposed to do? i'm talking about the part of the CAB forward-most sitting above/behind the steering servo.

That's so it'll be legal if you want to compete with it. There has to be two sides, a hood, and a roof for it to be a comp legal bodiless chassis. Or just take the cab off and get a body for it.

It looks like you're missing a brace in the very front on the cab.

Should look like this but in black:
With front brace.

purptr8r--that's very nice of you to offer! i'm not trying to slam BWD. i purchased this rig because it was BWD stuff on it and i think that they are the top of the line..maybe they are busy..don't know.. every post i've read says they are great to do business with.. if you could pass this on to Don that would be a great help. i would be more than happy to pay for the pieces i need- i was just surprised/disappointed at the lack of response..

IIRC, BWD will not replace missing parts. I could be thinkin of Crawler X chassis... but I think itt's BWD that told me that.

Sorry I never replied to ur email man..
I didn't have a direct answer..

It wasn't, one off, for me..

2 where given away at 2011 Nat's.. The white one was given to me by permission of Don from the original owner, JD..
The black one was built, sold to EY's brother, the sold again.. Oddly, it also ended up here in PA, with a fellow club member..
How crazy is that!
