Looks good Troy

The rear axle was designed so the rear CF 4-link plate should be parallell to the ground. That still gives you a 15* pinion angle. It looks like you have clocked the rear axle upwards and got some strange angle at the drive shaft.

Thanks Tobias!

Yeah, I went 2mm longer on the rear uppers. Mainly to keep the driveshaft above the rocks. Also to get there rear uppers closer to center above the rear axle.

If it looks like strange angle, don't look at my sporty or class 2 rear drive shaft angle! Lol.. They all but point to the sky!

It's been a LONG weekend and time to go back to work for a couple days.. But I'm feeling good about my stopping point. For tonight..

We have a Slider!
Ride height.. (Dam flash)

Compressed..

Extended..

Look at that 7950 tucking up in the lowers!
Little rubber grommets, under the front.

Aluminum balls under the rear..

Gives it a little slant..

And a little Dlux style tie rod..

Tomm night will be buttoning up electronics..

Work is going to Suck! Lol..

Sorry PURP! I must have missed you

Most of the mini parts including the chassis are available. Life has just been a bit hectical for me atm so I havent had time to make a vendor thread for them.

These parts will not be in my Shapeways store. If you want any of them just send me a PM and I will get you hooked up.

What shocks are you guys running on these? I have the metal ones from the MRC Pro but they seem like they will be too long.

I think winner is running slightly modded mini late model shocks and Drav is running modded scx10 shocks if I remember correctly.

I would say shortened SCX would be the best but then you need to shorten the shock shaft somehow... The shock body would be easy... I had custom Ti shafts made for myself for a short set of SCX shocks for an MRC

Oh yeah, about shortened SCX10 shocks...I forgot to tell everybody over here but, I found that Losi Mini LST shock shafts are almost the exact correct length to use per Tobias' numbers. IIRC, they are 13.5mm shorter than SCX in the "travel" portion of the shaft but only have 4mm of threads on the bottom of the shaft. Beings most M3 rod ends are 6+ mm deep that leave you an extra 2+mm to play with. Thread them 1.5mm above the tops of the threads and you have your 15mm and an extra 0.5mm to play with. Shorten the bodies 11mm, build them per Hulksta's thread and you're getting somewhere. I have 5 complete sets of the TiNi coated versions (also available in plain chrome for even less) here and ready for my build. $1.95/set of 4 with free shipping on Ebay. I bought the whole lot at that price...

I'll start a thread tonight with some exact numbers and whatnot. Or, better yet, I can add them to the mini specific shock thread I started a while back.

Tobias' mods on an SCX10 shock will leave you at around 64-65mm eye-eye with around 15mm of travel. Not sure where Winner has the Mini Late Model shocks set up at, but they are a short length and travel shock as well. Been a while since I've owned a pair, so I can't remember their actual stock length and travel numbers.

I had a set of Icons laying around so I made these up... Cut the stock shafts and re-threaded them, shortened the body as well. I need to get some proper spring retainers on them but...

With Mini-T fronts.

Looks off in the photo for some reason, but the measurement is eye to eye.

If I remove the preload adjuster the Mini-T Rears fit perfect, there really smooth like this, even though I havent put oil in yet.

I'll do a build thread once I get the rest of the parts from Tobias...

Hey winner, would you care to post a link to these parts you have bought? I have gone to Dravtechs website but cant seem to find them on there. I'm still pretty new so I am probably looking in the wrong place. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks for taking the time to post this build. It's like gold to a new guy like myself.

I think you'll have to PM him to get ahold of these parts at this point. Don't be offended if he turns you down though. I believe these are in sort of a "testing" phase still. And in no way am I speaking for him, just happen to know a piece of the story.

I think the parts have proven themself enough to safetly start to sell them.

As Brian mentioned, the only way to get hold of the parts atm is to PM me.

But back on topic. How does the build go for you Troy, any updates?
