| New to me mrc - need help, need battery
Hello everyone! I got a new to me mrc. has an aftermarket chassis and didn't come with a battery. I need a battery/charger. I'd prefer to keep it at just a plug in wall charger and it doesn't have to be Lipo. I've seen a few find batteries that fit the middle of the chassis, which could be nice! Just so many freaking options!! This is the only thing preventing me from driving thus thing, so please help! Also, where can I find a stock mrc lipo battery & wall charger? |

I'm also thinking about raising truck. To do this I'd need shorter lower links, right?

I run a 2s 1300mAh lipo in my mini and it works great! Of course you need a charger to charge it, too, though. I think the battery itself was like $16 or so from Mad Dog RC. Just curious....why would you want to raise the truck? Honestly it crawls better sitting lower, as the center of gravity is kept closer to the ground. This keeps the truck from rolling/tipping over. I can't be 100% certain, but that looks like a Gatekeeper chassis to me. But I could be wrong. But it's at least already set up with a 4-link, so you're in luck there. |

And where does that battery sit? The wheel base is 9.5" and I'm having a tuff time finding bodies that long. There's a vw bug I want to paint but it's like a inch or two short Last edited by godsspeed; 08-07-2015 at 10:35 AM. |

So shorten the wheelbase some then. Shorten both upper and lower links.

That's defiantly a Gatekeeper chassis. Nice score on snagging one.

Tried selling this but no luck... so I'm back to looking for a battery. Suggestions? Should also add, need a charger... preferably something simple I can just plug in to the wall (no other rcs) and the cheaper the better. Last edited by godsspeed; 10-20-2015 at 04:56 PM. |
