| mini drive shafts
a few years ago i picked up a mini and some hopup parts whan a lhs was going out of business. one part i picked up was an aftermarket chassis. the chassis works well, but the issue i have is if i lengthen the lower links to correct the axle geometry the driveline barely engages and comes apart at full flex. im sure there are longer driveshafts available, i just dont know where to look or what i need,

| Re: mini drive shafts I'll try to get the wheelbase measurements soon, recovering from back surgery, so its a bit of effort to just run out to the garage for a minor project Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk |

That's one of my old mini slingshot chassis kits. You're going to need way shorter shocks for that to work properly...which will greatly help some of your other issues. The common shock for it was the Mini T front shocks. |

Just like Don said, get shorter shocks on and it and all will fall into place like it should, you need shocks that are around 56 to 57mm eye to eye like from losi mini t or the losi mini late model, here's pics of my DNA slingshot chassis with losi mini late model shocks made by gpm, shocks are laid over and work smoothly that way and driveshaft angles will be right.

If I put shorter shocks on it, wouldn't that essentially lower it, making the drive shaft length even longer? Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk |

It will lower it, bringing the transmission closer to the axles, so your drive shafts should then be long enough.
