Total Zero!!!!

Well I've contemplated building a 1.9 for quite some time and now that some of the guys that I comp with regularly have started running them.......well it leaves me no choice!!.....I love all of the Dravtech products but have never had the opportunity to own any so this will be my first SUDU!! I contacted Tobias and we were off and running! For those of you who have never dealt with Dravtech, don't hesitate, Tobias was Awesome to deal with and great communication through the whole process!!"thumbsup"... So on to the build, we'll start with the chassis.

Chassis all built, Dravtech offers a few different colors for the printed parts and I decided to have some white in this build! http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...c81103b241.jpg. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...1d17591f1a.jpg. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...580932a333.jpg. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...dadbc9e538.jpg

Re: Total Zero!!!!

Time for the tranny! I went through the internals with some fresh grease and made sure everything was still looking sound inside, this tranny has almost no use on it, but that will soon change! I'll be running 14/62 gearing with an Extreme 380BL motor. Don at BWD just came out with this new revised motor plate and it just looks soooo damn cool I had to try it!!! http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...ff370a8e81.jpg. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...a9f893d87f.jpg. Motor plate is one beautiful piece of machine work! http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...23494da73b.jpg. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...b0d4876a54.jpg. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...3750c52ce5.jpg

That motor plate is sexy! Are the hot racing gears all 48p? I've been trying to get away from the noisy .5mod gears.

I know the 62t main gear I have on here is 48p, I'm not sure if the center gear set they make is or not. I'm still running the stock plastic gears inside this tranny for now, just did the hot racing main gear.

If you can find a HR idler gear, only.. that's all you want, inside your tranny..

Stock metal, top gear.. HR aluminum idler gear.. stock plastic diff gear w/metal lockers..

When you get to it.. ;)

I haven't been able to locate a HR idler so I just have the standard metal losi one. Do have the metal locker though. Aftermarket parts for these are definitely starting to dwindle!!

Re: Total Zero!!!!

I don't think losi ever made a metal idler(middle gear, inside the tranny)..
The stock top gear, is metal.

The machining on that plate is gorgeous.

Re: Total Zero!!!!

I added threaded aluminum inserts in the mounting holes for the tranny. Drilled the holes out with a 2.5mm bit, threaded to m3, dab of CA on the threads and wound in flush. No worries of stripped out plastic threads. These inserts were also purchased from Dravtech. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...e1e3413b42.jpg. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...c5afb169db.jpg. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...aa9ad974fd.jpg

The BWD motor plate fits nicely everywhere with just enough clearance and no need for notching. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...59eaa851ab.jpg. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...fce67a7922.jpg. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...cbd85308b2.jpg. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...5073388402.jpg
