I have this motor in my mrc connected to a sidewinder ESC. My problem is there is no low speed resolution. As I pull the trigger the first point the motor starts turning the vehicle speed feels like quarter throttle. There is no binding in the drivetrain.

I guess I can check....It's been a year or more since I've touched it. I don't remember having this issue with the stock motor. I'll check Monday.

Couldn't find my castle link....Have had over 4 in the last ten yrs. Ended up recalibrating to my radio and that seemed to make it better. Then did overdrive mod and wraptors front and rear to add wraith outers. So far so good. Eventually I'll get Universal's to properly setup my front end.

Brood doesn't make them anymore. Try this motor Extreme 380. They are only 10 bucks and work great. Not many options for mini anymore

Maybe he is making them again. I contacted him a couple months ago regarding that motor and never even got a response back.

I was looking at these motors for a cheap replacement for my sons truck, but they are out of stock too.

I put a 370 helion motor in it, worked great but after about 10 packs it got so hot this past weekend the positive desoldered from the motor. I'll have to check the spur but the pinion is a 14. Stock temper with 1.9 tsl's, hitec servo, dynamite 60a brushed esc, 2s 2000mah packs. Just trying to figure out if I should stay brushed or go brushless. Any thoughts on how this motor might work?

Is the frenzy a 380 size motor? Do you have anything brushless for mini's? Thanks!

They can be quirky, but they are the standard, as they typically prevent spam filters from grabbing emails....while the email isn't all over the site, info@teambrood.com is pretty well known..

No brushless, but the frenzy is more like a 370....there is really not a standard in sizing with those smaller motors...its basically the same size of the stock motor. They drop right in, though I recommend doing the gearing mod I came up with years back...

Thanks much for the info. I will be ordering one. Gearing mod? Or just a gear swap? Thanks

Gearing mod was where you get the RC18 spur gear and drill it out to fit. Its a fairly easy mod and gets the gearing to a better ratio so you get good start up and torque without frying motors...
