| Replaced ESC, Motor, & rebind - throttle & reverse are backwards?
I had a high school kid working on my Losi. We were sorta throwing parts at it to get it going again. We bought a matched set motor/esc, a new battery, and finally got it going after he performed a rebind on the xmtr and receiver. But he told me the throttle and reverse are now backwards. Is that as simple as reversing two of the connectors to the motor? Which ones? Thanks! |

Assuming it’s a brushed set up and zero timing yes just swap the two wires going to the motor Live it love it crawl it |

It is a 35a brushless setup. It has red, yellow and black wires.

If brushless, and not sensored(no sensor cable connect), you can switch any 2 wires on the motor connections and it should correct the rotation. If the brushless system is sensored, then it's a programming issue with the ESC or you can try reversing the channel 2 on your radio. |

I just got confirmation, this is the setup: https://www.amazon.com/Brushless-Mot...agle+brushless So sensorless?? Thanks!! |

Awesome! Just swapped the red and black and it goes properly now. But wow, it is VERY touchy. No linearity in the throttle. It's been regeared to go faster, and I want to slow it down again, but I'm not sure that will solve my problem.

I ended up going brushed because of this. I purchased a Tekin FXR and Team Frenzy Brood motor. Have yet to install, but from what I have read on these forums it should do the job. | |

Thanks for the info. Such a shame for me... But it was cheap. So I suppose I could still look into what you are going with if you like it. I would appreciate an update here if you don't mind. What ratios should I be looking at for spur and pinion in a crawling application? I assume I want something close to stock, but at this point, I don't even know what that is. Shoddyking do a sensored brushless motor that will fit…………………………………https://hobbyking.com/en_us/1-14th-s...___store=en_us. I’ve had to file the opening for the pinion gear a bit as the motor shaft is a short version so I couldn't have the pinion on backwards. I’m running a cheap Xcar 30amp ESC and it's fine apart from a drag brake that lets go all at once if you sitting on an incline. Last edited by Arcright; 05-13-2018 at 02:23 AM. |
