Default Robotboy's Mini 1.9er

I missed having a 1.9 comper in the stable so I've been gathering parts.
Not so easy these days. Mixing and matching parts from different companies
is what I'm in the mists of. Got a few things worked out so far. I'm sure
things will change as I get further into it. And so it begins...

Front axle is complete, for now. MRC housing, Dravtech Wrapters, Boom
Racing AR44 Wide Angle Knuckles & C's, Steel universals, Traxxas OD pinion
and an Exceed diff gear/aluminum spool. Steering should not be a problem.

Rear Axle is almost complete. All Exceed parts (mixed & matched);
housing, diff gear/aluminum spool, straight axles and lockouts.
Only have this one pic for now...

At the rate i'm going I'll have 2 or 3. Seeing what will end up working best
for the main 1.9er. Then moving the leftovers to others. Love these little guys!!

A pic of the completed rear

I've gotten a lot done on the mini. Trans has HR metal gears & 61T
al. spur. Team Brood Frenzy motor & 12T pinion. Went with the pro
shocks for now but will probably switch them out for 70mm HR's.

Here's a quick sneak peek

I'm doing the same thing you are..
I really want to eliminate the losi Diff
I've been experimenting with Redcat and SCX parts so far with minimal
success.
Do you mind sharing what diffs and axle part numbers you ended up with?
I've got every thing else
Ordered a bunch of DravTech parts from Shapeways, see what happens there..
I've got some DravTech 3.5 short shocks from Dlux Fab I'm going to try also..
Your project is looking great!

Thanks man! I bought a bunch of parts from 3 or 4 different trucks. I had to
mix & match some stuff. Cut down axle shafts, etc. I'll have to go through
the invoices and write down what worked. I am still waiting on a few other
misc parts that I'm hoping will be more user friendly, less work
I'll shoot you list when I figure it out.

If you can would be handy to have a public list of what works with what. I know it will be a fair bit of work but like yourself we are all struggling with the parts issue.

I would also be interested in the spool part number...

Keep us posted!

Small update. Still waiting on rear shocks. And also my shapeways order.
Decided to try the Dravtech mini rear lockouts so I can switch everything
to 3mm. The front wraptors are nice so I expect the same for the rear.
Hopefully this upcoming week I'll get the rear squared away.

The front got some HR 70mm shocks and a set of SSD heavy brass knuckles.

A few updates, still a work in progress. Got the rear squared away. Exceed
housing, diff spool and cut down axle shafts, Dravtech rear lockouts and
some locking collars for some weight.

Made up some permanent lower links and titanium turnbuckle uppers.
Added 70mm HR shocks and GPM steel driveshafts. I'm not too sure the
HR's are gonna work out. Some testing & tuning are in order.
Here's where I am as of now....

Pretty much a runner now. Does pretty good but it's gonna need some tuning.
Changed up shock locations to get a lower ride height and trying different
spring combos. I still haven't decided on running a cab & panels or a body yet.
For now this bug will do for testing.
Here's where she is...for now...
