The Yeti Score body doesn't look much different. I put the two side-by-side at my LHS and they looked pretty much the same. If you want a different paint job, you can get a clear body for the Baja Rey and paint it however you want.

x2 ^ I painted mine white. easy to spot on a track in the pack.

and good reference pic for your wires. I will still run mine how I like though. I have way less than that exposed.

Also, can someone show a pic of the Axial score body on the Baja Rey roll cage (or without), if possible? The stock body doesn't look that great (it could be the paint job, though)...
Even with slw225 the method wheels will not tuck under the body properly on the Rey. Check out this video, the stock body can look much different with a new paint job.

Both are very different vehicles. Only thing in common is the manf. The SCTE platform used on the SCBE is one of the best shortcourse platforms available. On 2s it hits 40mph and handles superb. The Baja Rey needs 3s to reach 40mph but is the best handling 1/10 TT so far. If you want the best shortcourse buggy go for the SCBE. If you want the best trophy truck go for the Baja Rey. Hope this helps!

Crap, this is gonna be hard... I wish there was more running footage of both (not directly asking you), but they're so new that barely anyone has them. I think the Baja Rey would be more suited to the terrain I have around me, yet there are already hop-ups from the SCTEs I could buy for the SCBE. I might just go for the Baja and wait for all the upgrades to catch up...

Correction, slw's with method wheels do work! But you need to remove the fake calipers on the Rey for the wheel to fully seat on the hex.

Great, the stock wheels aren't my cup of tea. If I would take the brakes off, would that also give enough space for the stock hub, what the Methods come with? I can't justify paying more than the price of the wheels for the Vanquish hubs, unless that's the only thing that will work...

Much more realistic if that's your cup of tea.

The wheel offset is essentially the same as Pro Line's ProTrac wheels. However, it's difficult to find *tires* that work better than stock, because the stock rubber compound seems to have just the right amount of grip and slip to make the truck handle well. I tried some Trencher SCs and it was traction-rolling all over the place.

I may upgrade the wheels to Pro Line beadlocks eventually -- on this truck, the extra weight down low can only help -- but I'm going to keep the stock tires.

Losi needs to put out a buggy version of this chassis

If you do, show some pics... Wondering if Axials (or Prolines) BFG KR2s will have a similar effect to the stock tires-they're about the same size (PL's are wider).

What's the difference between ProTrac and regular PL wheels?

I have ProTracs on my Tellurides, and non-ProTracs on my SC10B for extra width vs. the stock wheels. (ironic that I put narrower wheels on the truck that came with wider wheels, and wider wheels on the truck that came with narrower wheels.) My eyeball caliper says the difference is 1/4-3/8" less offset per side on the ProTrac wheels.

When I had the Baja Rey and the Yeti Score next to each other at my LHS, the Yeti Score's tires looked distinctly narrower than the Baja Rey's tires. No idea how the compounds compare, though.

the stock rims are to thin. the panther "raptor" tire or "boa's" work good with this truck. more open lugs.

tlr 22 sct rims or any rim by de for losi sct or scb work.

I don't think a solid-rear-axle buggy/truggy would work very well. That's what the original Yeti tried to be, and the lack of sprung weight in the rear made it absolutely horrible to drive at high speed.

My yeti handles speed very well.

Mine handled it terribly, especially when cornering. The Baja Rey is a breath of fresh air by comparison.

Agreed that out of the box it handles a ton better and the center diff certainly helps in the regard but with some tuning the yeti can run pretty close to the Rey, maybe not quite as fast top speed but very close.
