Have you checked eBay to see if anybody has any axial yeti tt shock bodies. Some one on here picked some up for around $20 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I haven't, but if I understand correctly, the lengths are at least 10mm different than the Yeti's shocks. I'm disappointed that STRC hasn't made shock bodies for this truck. I have their shock bodies on all of my Traxxas and Axial vehicles, as well as my Ten-SCBE and my Arrma Granite, and I'm completely satisfied with them. There's nothing wrong with the stock internals, I just want aluminum bodies to hold the internals. It bugs me to replace the entire shocks when the internals work fine. Has anyone experimented with putting a different lexan body on this? Something along the lines of the Proline Yeti bodies?

Yes, go back 1 page and you'll see BAJAREY2017's truck with a Proline '17 Raptor body on it. The Team Associated SC8 bodies and Traxxas Slayer Pro bodies are also close enough to work.

Has anyone tried using Tamiya Anti-Wear grease in the center gearbox? It's super-sticky so it should actually stay in place when those gears are spinning at thousands of RPMs.

I got my head out of my ass regarding my shock-upgrade dilemma, and I ordered the closest sizes of Pro-Line shocks. I put them together and installed them today. However, I ran out of ceramic bearings for the center-transmission maintenance I was doing at the same time, so no pictures until the truck at least doesn't have driveshafts hanging loose off the underside.

Nice!! I love mine except for they leak. After rebuilding twice with slime they still leak. I called pro line and they are sending me replacements and i have a feeling those will leak as well but i will have an extra set so i cant complain. Did you get the slash rears for the front and 5 inch for the rears?

Pick up the shock rebuild kit for traxxas big bores, they have blue x ring o-rings then rebuild your powerstrokes. Should be leak free after that. TRA2362.

I have a set of big bores and when I rebuilt those he just sold me the standard slash shock rebuild kit cause the o rings are the same. Is that kit specifically for the big bores Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I made a tbone racing bumper for an aarma senton work but it’s a little big and works great but I like the look of this one. I emailed RPM about 5 months ago and they replied there is nothing in the works and they weren’t aware of a problem with the stock bumper. After a few more emails they asked for pictures of the bumper failure and said they would pass it on to their engineering department. It’s nice to know they listen to their customers. I’d recommend if anybody has something they would like to see them make send them an email and if it makes sense it sounds like they will make it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I have one. It fits quite nicely. Also, I got the center gearbox put back together, so now I can show you the shock upgrade I did: |

Have you ran it much with that bumper? How does it hold up after a few end over end wrecks. My next upgrade is going to be aluminum shock mounts. You need to ditch those upper a arms that are made out of taffy and get some from metal concepts. I’m digging your truck, I’m not a big fan of aluminum but on this truck it’s a must in some areas. Finally got some aluminum front spindles and body from SIKRIDES in vegas. The body was slightly used but still in great shape. Those guys and girl are awesome! Recommend stopping by their shop or check them out online Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Sorry let me rephrase that, has anybody that hasn’t learned how to drive their scale tt and drives it in the dirt and uses it for what it was meant for have any experience with the rpm bumper and how does it hold up after the inevitable end over end wrecks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Have been debating on buying an aluminum axle but couldn’t resist. I wanted the black one but figured this one wouldn’t show roost and rock damage as bad. The fit and finish and detail are amazing. The gear mesh is spot on and it just looks bad ass. Can’t wait to run it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The cheap transmitter look and feel was really bugging me, especially the hard plastic steering wheel. If my hands got sweaty in the summer, my fingers would actually start slipping on the wheel. I tried adding foam from another transmitter but this wheel is so big it split the foam in half. Wasn't sure if any aftermarket wheels fit so I was ready to give up and buy a different transmitter until I had a really simple idea. Plasti-dip! Just take the wheel off and spray on a few coats. It gives it a grippy rubber texture that makes a difference. I assume any color Plasti-dip would work, I happened to have clear on hand. |
