the stock driveshaft is fine.

I used revo push rods... part number escapes me. with long revo rod ends for the rear upper links. plenty of beef now.

a clamping servo horn would be best. maybe a racers edge.

XT60 is best connector I've found. Shouldn't be too hard to swap EC3 for XT60 and bolt/ShoeGoo the XT60 in place. Sweet truck too!

^ a little dremel work to the stock plastic holder and xt60 should work fine.

but I removed my interior and I now plug and unplug from the inside of the truck. racing and bashing with the same battery might wear out the wrap on the wires overtime hanging back there. or a good slam... and wam bam truck is off cause its unplugged.

Just ordered a blue Baja Rey. I'm excited! And a TLR Servo horn. Think I'll go with a Savox 1258 as Kieth suggested. But I didn't order it just yet.

RPP has the Rey in stock at the moment. They just changed status to "in stock" about 20 minutes ago.

**edit- just realized I ordered a 24T servo horn in my haste to hit the order button. Went to change it and holy crap RPP has shipped it already. Awesome!

Yeah, but I have XT90 plugs on all my full-size batteries. I really don't think it will be a problem to have the plug dangling out of the hole; it can't possibly be worse than my current setup, which is to have an adapter plugged in and the entire battery cord flopping around.

Do you recall the part number of the Losi servo arm you went with?

savox is 25 tooth.

ive actually opted for a AE 4x4 servo horn. stock plastic ones. they are pretty beefy.

comes in a pack of three with a blue ring. the only problem is.. the short steering link. youll have to take it out and flip flop one ball stud.

when you install the servo you have to install the link with the servo. but first install it on the bell crank then install servo screws.

to conclude.. you wont strip out any aluminum servo horns.

Grease your rear diff ring and pinion gears as well as the tranny gears. They are not greased or have very little grease on them and could potentially heat up causing damage. Happened to one guy on ultimaterc.com with a baja rey. used marine grease in mine and also borrowed frystormers idea on the foam tape on the trap door motor plate to help keep dirt out. Cmon aftermarket, lets get some goodies out for this truck!!!!

Well i got the info from frystormer that the gears just had some silicon type lube on them and sure enough it was just a smear of it on there. I packed in as much as i could of marine grease in the rear axle housing and also added a thin shim in between the pinion bearing and the driveshaft cup. I believe thats the proper way to shim it. if you put the shim on the inside of the housing, it forces the gear mesh to bind up. If im correct, its just preventative maintenance.

If you use a Savox it is TLR1557.

Cool, XT90 the other best plug, but for 90 amps vs 60 amps. Agreed on the plug flopping around too.

Great idea on the foam tape for the motor door too.
