This looks very promising!

Great pricing on the Rock Rey kit right now, wish it wasn't Xmas and I didn't have so many gifts to buy!

Nice to see the build laid out step by step, and all the members chiming in with performance tips and tweaks...



***Late Edit - I'd like to ask a favor, can anyone give me the wheel width of the Rock Rey wheel? ***

I know the tire size is 5.75" x 2.35" on a 2.2" wheel, just curious on what width wheel they come with - with such a wide tire I'd assume at least 1.5", but I'd like a more accurate number...

The kit came with a 12 tooth mod 1 pinion. I'm going too start with that. See where my temps are

The Rock Rey has proven to be very durable and very fast. The savox 1230 servo has plenty of power to throw those 5.7 tires around. The shocks proved them selves to work well with jumping and zero leaks. In my opinion the rig needs shorter tires and single stage closed cell foams. Next ill put the Vodoo tires on with some Crawler Innovation comp cut single stage foams.

Did I read you were running on 4s ? putting a kit together now, gonna start with stock build, with similar ESC/motor specs (HWXR8sct w/ 3600kv)...but was thinking 3s would be enough? Have read 2s with right motor combo is also plenty...thoughts?

What would be a good foam for the stock tires? the stockers seem soft.
Gonna also try the JConcept Scorpios...anyone tried those?
